Hydrocephalus Awareness Month Post

Today is the fourth day of Hydrocephalus Awareness Month and today I would like to share how those with Hydrocephalus can also have Spina Bifida, Epilepsy, and many other things. One of the things that people with Hydrocephalus can have are different types of disabilities. Others with Hydrocephalus, can also have Cerebral Palsy. People with Hydrocephalus can also suffer from sever brain damage, leaving them not being able to walk or talk. I have a learning disability, and I have Epilepsy. Other things that can happen with people who have Hydrocephalus is that they can get headaches. The fluid pressure can also cause vision loss, nausea, vertigo, unconsciousness,   intracranial hemorrhage, and death. Hydrocephalus Awareness Month is important to me and to others are living with it. Hydrocephalus is treatable but is not curable. The treatment as I've mentioned in my post yesterday requires brain surgery and having a shunt put in. We need to let others know about Hydrocephalus so that they can be educated and help others want to learn more about this topic. We know so much about Autism, and many other things, but what people all over the world who haven't even heard about this, is what we need to be teaching them, and telling them about. If we don't then who will? Who will teach them that Hydrocephalus needs to be heard about, educated, and most importantly who will help them spread awareness and let them know why this month is important? If I can help them, or at least one person know about it or if they have it, at least I can let them know that they are not alone. I can let them know that they will always have the support of those around them, but most importantly they have the support of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. Hydrocephalus should be known but it's not. Hydrocephalus is probably I would say one of the least and mainly unknown conditions that is known as an invisible illness that people may not be able to see, but some people with disabilities you can see, but my types of disabilities or others who have the same type of learning disabilities aren't always seen, because they fall into the same category of what an invisible illness is, not be able to see the disability but still being able to speak up and tell those who may not know, that yes we have disabilities and yes you may not be able to see them or see Hydrocephalus, but we can assure you we have it and we have disabilities. September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month, and It Matters. I hope that as I continue to do these posts, you learn something new from them each day as you follow along with what I write or share. I may live with Hydrocephalus, and may learn different from others but that is what makes me unique in my own way. God created me this way for a reason, because He still has a great plan for my life, along with everyone else. I hope you'll let someone know about why they should learn about Hydrocephalus, and why this month is so important to others like me. I can't wait to share more with all of you tomorrow, but until then I hope you enjoy this post.
